Project overview
After a fire in the previous hobby fish unit, it was demolished with a complete new steel structure and new concrete slab.
We installed an all composite panel system, complete with flashings and trimline steel gutters.
Materials: Joris Ide composite panels and flashings.
Approx Area: Roof 500m2, Cladding 500m2
Project Challenges
Having a good sized storage area with the client owning the neighbouring wasteland, there were no storage issues, although loading was tight due to a through road not being allowed to be blocked, we managed to overcome this with a full perimeter scaffold walkway, loading from one end.
As expected with new builds, we often work alongside groundworkers. Usually there’s compromise, but this particular company worked completely around us, making the ground safe and never holding us up.
Results
A brand new structure, larger and a lot more pleasing to the eye than the original barn.
Once the shutters and doors were installed, we returned for a final flashing installation and the client was ready to move in and begin operating.
