Project overview
The existing composite panel roof was not up to current regulations having only a 40mm core and its coating had long perished, flaking off in large areas.
Going with the most cost effective option, we replaced the composite roof lights with a single skin GRP, then a 240mm insulated build up, new single skin top sheets and GRP rooflights.
We then cleaned the gutters, cut down any protruding bolts or fixings, and installed plygene gutter liners.
With tough access to the sides of the building, we finished the flashings from a long reach truck mounted cherry picker.
Materials: Firth Steels Protex roof sheets and flashings, Tech Bar bar system & HD Sharmans plygene gutter liners.

Project Challenges
Working out safe ways to install safety nets to rooflights where there was little to no access and being able to reach both gable ends proved challenging, but with the correct planning, both were carried out safely.
Results
A great looking install, with upgraded insulation a 30 year warranty from Firth Steels and 25 year plygene warranty from HD Sharmans.
